So it seems Hootsuite have activated follower insights again. Does anyone know how to opt out, they deleted the previous article http://help.hootsuite.com/entries/218401-how-to-opt-out-of-insight.

“We’ve added an easy way to opt-out of the Insights tool so your data will not be shown within HootSuite. Please follow the steps detailed at: How to Opt-out of Insights.

In brief, click on your personal profile card > choose the Insights tab > click “What’s This?” > click Opt-out > confirm Opt-out — Your data be instantly removed from HootSuite.”

This doesn’t seem to work anymore – I suggest contacting Hootesuite support for a fix.

When I click on the link for the opt-out article, I’m told I don’t have access to it. I’d really like to find that article, because I just got HootSuite, and I can’t find the place to opt-out. I want to opt-out.

Thanks for expressing your feelings eloquently and politely Declan. We’ve added an instant “opt-out” tool. By opt-ing out, HootSuite will no longer display the data associated with your profile. There is a Help Desk article — with screen-shots of the process — at: http://ow.ly/2dxFn In brief, simply click the “what’s this?” link on the Insights tab for your account and you’ll see the prompt.
